Eternal Shadow

Whoo! Finally found a good concept for Kage's dark form! Now that I think about it, I don't think I've gone over Kage's personality much, so I'll do that here. I might make a few more drawings for the rest of the team to better help people understand them.

Class: Rogue
Profession: Bounty Hunter/Assassin
Soul Element: Darkness
Alignment: Lawful Neutral

Figthing Style: Kage can create virtually any weapon using shadows. However, due to his blades skills being entirely self taught and therefore fairly unreliable against most upper-level foes, he typically sticks with his two ragingbull-modeled revolvers. For the most part, he engages foes in close quarters with his own blend of martial arts, and engages with his guns when that doesn't work out too well.

Story: Kage doesn't share much of his past, but lets on that he was "kidnapped" by a PMC, Private Military Corporation, and experimented on. Because no human (in my story, anyway) can naturally develop Darkness as a Soul Element, the PMC subjected him to a series of tests. After years of training and torment, procedure went horribly awry, and Kage destroyed the facility while in a rage. After escaping to the Capital, he met up with David and Yuki, who offered him a place on their mercenary group.

Personality: Kage is usually taciturn and professional, but several friends can make him break a smile or crack a joke. He is best described as an anti-hero, aiming to achieve the best for society, but in his own brutal and ruthless way. He has a very strong stance against certain crimes, such as rape and terrorism, and usually kills anyone committing the act regardless of their reasons for doing so. He has pessimistic expectations of humanity, and is usually surprised to see a random citizen play the good samaritan. He holds loyalty extremely high regards, and once his friendship is attained, he will be viciously loyal to any and all of his friends.

Characteristics: As a result of the testings, Kage's skin has been left permanently pale, black hair, and red eyes. The red highlight stained on his hair is likely another product of the testing, but it's debatable. He wears a traditional Assassin coat, as he enjoys partaking in assassination contracts.

Relationships
Yuki: Kage and Yuki are definitely the closest in terms of friendship, and their relationship shows little signs of it going any further than that. Aside from Rosy, Yuki seems to be able to bring a hearty smile to Kage's face, and is one of the very few who can make him laugh. Although she disapproves of his brutal methods, she is usually the first to accompany him into any danger, and shows a strong concern for his safety.

David: Kage and David don't exchange many words, and are often frustrated with the other's opinions, yet they hold each other in exceptionally high regard due to their nearly matched combat prowess. David often places a high amount of trust in Kage's abilities, and has given him the role of the team scout.

Teresa: Because he takes part in assassinations, and because he has underworld contacts, Teresa often expresses a disdain towards Kage, although she has a degree of respect towards him.

Akira: Kage and Akira usually get along exceptionally. The reason for this isn't entirely clear, although Kage once laughed and said, "It's kind of interesting to check out women...with a woman," referencing Akira's sexual orientation. Whereas Teresa and Yuki are both annoyed by Akira's flirting with them, Kage usually finds their reactions hysterical, making Akira another one of the few who can make him laugh in good nature.

Keiko: Because of Keiko's rotten and holier-than-thou attitude, Kage shows an extremely strong hatred towards her, which she returns. The two are very often at odds, however show that they are willing to work with each other when the time calls for it.

Rosy: Because of her pure innocence and childish nature, Kage always dedicates himself to Rosy's protection on the field. Rosy never seems to be put off by his dark nature, and holds him in as high regard as she does Yuki. Although Kage occaisonally becomes irritated with Rosy's naiive and slow-minded nature, he can never remain angry with her for more than a few seconds.

Physical/Mental Health Issues: Kage suffers from moderate schizophrenia and mild PTSD from his time with the unnamed PMC. Moreover, the failed experiment has caused a severe physical ailment where the Darkness in his blood occaisonally obstructs the efficiency of his bodily organs, most often the lungs. This doesn't hinder his ability in a fight, but usually takes hold shortly after.
