Sooo let's start with the vent so that the later part of this journal will ensure that I end it with a happier demeanor.

So there's this girl in my English class. I am not fond of her because she loves to interrupt people, delay class by 5-10 minutes arguing with the professor, constantly badger you even if you politely state that you are busy working on an assignment, or need to read a book to relax, etc.
I assume she's simply incredibly social, so I don't hold some of that against her. Perhaps that's the same reason I haven't been rude to her; she's friendly enough, she just doesn't know when to leave someone alone when they need alone time.
Now comes the fun part; through several conversations with her in the past, I have made it very clear to her that I am not a dating person. At least seven different conversations I have responded to her question, "You have a girlfriend?" with, "Nah, I'm not really a dating person. Not my thing."
Regardless, she asked me out, and I respectfully declined, stating that I wasn't into dating people, and that there are plenty of other guys who would make a better match for her. I shall now quote the conversation.

Her: "Will you go out with me?"
Me: "I'm sorry, but I'm not really into dating, I'm not too comfortable with it."
Her: "Okay, that's cool, but will you go out with me?"
Me: "...."
Her: "Will you?"
Me: "I'm sorry, but I'm not into dating people right now. Why don't you ask someone else? I'm su-"
Her: "Can we go out?"
Me: "No, I just told you that I'm not into dating. If I entered a relationship I was uncomfortable with, it's be miserable for both of us."
Her: "Sure, but is there a chance we can go out."
Me (getting slightly irritated): "I'm sorry, but I told you that it wouldn't work out. I wouldn't be comfortable with a relationship right now."
Her: "okay....."

SO HERE'S THE BEST PART. I believe that all's well, she got the message that I don't like relationships, and then BAM.
She starts telling the professor and entire class that she has been having serious mental breakdowns, due to loneliness. AND SHE MADE DAMN SURE THAT SHE WAS LOOKING AT ME WHEN SHE SAID IT. AFTER CLASS ENDED, SHE CAME UP TO ME AND SAID, "You sure we can't go out?"
Too angry to respond, I left the class room and, since it was my final class, headed to the student center to grab a drink and get the hell home.
Who the hell does this? "No" means "no"!!! Okay? I understand that being rejected isn't easy; I've been rejected plenty of times in Junior High, and they made no attempt to hide their disgust with my "audacity."
But I was being as nice as I could, I gave her a valid reason, and suggested that she date someone else. Then, she tried to fucking guilt trip me into it!
I refuse to be guilt tripped into a relationship that would make both of us miserable!
Am I in the wrong here? Am I just being an asshole?
If you have an opinion, please let me know. I'd like to get some outside voices here.

On a lighter note that will hopefully lower my stress levels, I finally managed to play Five Nights at Freddy's for myself earlier tonight! And I have to say, I really enjoyed it. So much tension, paranoia, and adrenaline just course straight through you, and the feeling of helplessness is excellently played out here, since your only defenses are two buttons that may have a chance of keeping these psychotic machines out.
Not to mention it was really fun to watch two of my friends squeal like stuck pigs! (One in particular)
I do hope that, as soon as we get the equipment figured out, my co host, cameraman, guest star and I will be able to do a Let's Play with it.
I'll update you guys if that gets started.

So, if you've read this whole thing, I appreciate it, if you've only read the top I apologize for my being so negative, if you've read the bottom I hope you're as excited as I am, and if you've skipped the whole damn thing and are reading this one sentence, kudos.

In any event, have a good night!

Ugh! That's just terrible! I'm sorry you had to deal with that. Not only was that girl a complete asspain, but it sounds like she's getting everyone on her side just because you're the one that said "no" to her and she makes it look like she's the victim. That's just unacceptable. When a guy says no to a girl and she doesn't back down, "he's the bad guy". I hate people like that because they think the guy is never the victim.

Again, I'm sorry you went thru with that, man. :(
